Honduras, an unspoiled paradise
Lake Yojoa is the largest lake in Honduras with a surface area of 285 square kilometers.
The lake is surrounded by high mountains that reach heights of over 2,600 meters, some of them part of 2 national parks: Santa Barbara National Park and Cerro Azul Meambar.
Lake Yojoa is a popular fishing destination and the surrounding area has a rich biodiversity (almost 400 species of birds and 800 plant species have been identified in the region). The area around the lake has different interests like Pulhapanzak falls, Taulabe caves or Joya Grande zoo.
