Pico Bonito is a natural park located north of Honduras in the Nombre de Dios mountain range and covers an area of 1,073 square kilometers, the highest peak is named Nature Park and goes up to 2485 meters in front of the Caribbean sea. All natural park is a vast expanse filled with wildlife yet to be explored.
Luckily there are a couple of trails of about 4 miles driven in about 3 or 4 hours, hiring a guide will have an unforgettable trip, you can even do some hiking off trails, such as to the El Bejuco waterfall with her amazing 60 meters high.
The Cangrejal river is one of the 46 rivers that flow from the natural park to the Caribbean Sea, where you can go rafting or kayaking, a good dose of adrenaline surrounded by lush tropical vegetation.
Around Pico Bonito you can find vast expanses of pineapple plantations, if you're lucky your guide will get a you one and you will notice the difference with "our" pineapples.
